Speed Golf
All you need to know!
SpeedGolf combines golf and running into one exciting challenge. The goal is simple: shoot the lowest score possible while completing the course as quickly as possible.
🏌️ How It Works
● Play smart. Play fast. Have fun!
● Just like regular golf, you are trying to make the lowest score possible.
● The difference? Time matters too.
● Players will be timed on each hole, with a short break between holes.
● Because you’re being timed, SpeedGolf encourages you to think less and react more. Trust your swing, choose your shot, and keep moving!
🏌️♂️ How Many Clubs Should I Bring?
Most junior SpeedGolfers carry 2–4 clubs.
You don’t need a full golf bag! Think about which clubs allow you to play the course efficiently while keeping your load light enough to run comfortably. You will be carrying your own clubs either in a small bag, a silo, or even no bag at all! (Your Caddy is allowed to carry water and extra golf balls— but you must run carrying all your clubs).
About the Course: Colton Golf Club
● The course is not very long.
● The longest hole is only 285 yards.
● There are no par 5s.
That means you can be strategic about which clubs you choose to carry.
⏱️ Hole Timing
Each hole will have its own individual time.
After finishing a hole, you’ll have a break before starting the next one.
Maximum of 10 shots per hole
If you reach 10 shots on a hole, you’re done playing the hole.
Simply:
1. Pick up your clubs.
2. Run all the way to the flag.
3. Touch the flag with your club.
4. Run through the designated finishing gate.
Your hole is then complete and your time will be recorded.

SPEEDGOLF FAQ's
How do I train?
The goal is to play good golf and do it quickly. So practice hitting shots by building your pre-shot swing thoughts into your set-up routine. Try to minimize thinking and maximize action!
What do I wear?
Most SpeedGolfers wear collared shirts on top with running gear everywhere else. Some play in comfy golfing shoes while others wear their running shoes.
What clubs do I use?
First, whatever you use, you have to carry. Some SpeedGolfers chose to use only 1-club, while others carry 4-5. While you are getting used to this new way to play, try starting with JUST a 7-iron. Everu time you play, add another club. Once you get to 4-5 clubs, you’ve just about matched what most Elite SpeedGolfers use.
How is a round scored?
You’ll combine the total time it took you to play the hole along with the total strokes it took to get your ball into the hole. Once you hole your ball or reach 10 strokes on a hole, you can pick up your ball and run straight to the flagstick. Touch the flagstick with your club and make your way to the finish line for that hole.
